Summary

When Kassia Ross finds herself stranded deep in the woods of an Oregon forest during a spontaneous midnight drive. she thinks her luck can’t get worse. Fate proves her wrong when a naked and shivering boy stumbles out of the darkness, pleading for help. What Kassia doesn’t realize is that the boy is a trap, a young wolf shifter acting as a distraction for his guard to knock Kassia unconscious. When Kassia comes to, she finds herself bound in chains with a murderous man intent on dragging her back to his pack and alpha for interrogation. He knows she’s a vampire, knows she’s hiding her nature, but believes it all to be a ploy to lure in unsuspecting victims. Kassia protests her innocence, begging to be released for all of their safety. The horrors of her past haunt her still and she knows it’s only a matter of time before they hunt her down and destroy her life in a river of blood.

Cyrus Greer had been the head guard of the Ashford pack for decades and had killed countless vampires during his watch. The woman he takes back to his pack seems like an ordinary human, but he can smell her for what she is- a bloodthirsty monster. Despite that, doubt lingers.
